Yeah I really like the pain jobs on some of the SS. Those 6 inches really do feel like more. Mine feels so at home on the downhills. I can only imagine the SS being better. You go build that man. Here´s some motivation man:

You´re right, but I climb on this thing, and the SS would be really hard to climb. Anyway not thinking about a new bike just yet, maybe mid next year or something. And then again, I think I´d go for a Giant Reign X. And also, the front triangle is beefier than the original one. Its Easton steel and it has a FORM sticker on it that is supposedly their product brand aimed for Rocky Montain bikes. It feels thicker to the touch. Its been a year since this and is still going.

His upper body just gave in to the fact that he´s going to eat it, but his legs seem to think they can still save this one.

I would never ever in my life try that gap. That looks sooooo dangerous to case. Props for the riders, photographer.

Well its an old fork. Just make sure its in good condition. If you plan on downhilling with it. You won´t regret it. Good luck.

Best fork I´ve ridden so far. Love the adjustments. Have never serviced it, and its still going strong after 2 years of abuse.

I know he is the leader of the band... but he always has to make it so obvious. Anyway, mad respect for him, and Iron Maiden´s love for soccer. (Or is it just Steve Harris´ love for soccer lol?)

I´m ashamed. My bike is at 37 pounds. I have been loosing track of its weight and putting in parts just by pure preference. Latest updates where the SLX crankset, a short cage X.9 rear derailer and high rise answer protaper riser bar. On the upside, I just got my rp3 float back from push, works better than the rp23 I got new for it. On another note, I´m thinking of getting an e13 2 ring chainguide. Something tells me I´m getting heavier not slimmer.

Ok, now I see it. Its just that I´m used to seeing the pivot more clearly visible like in this case. http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/2477903/

In this picture it looks all welded up and I can barely see where the pivot divides from the bottom bracket. But I see it now. Props on making a home made version of one of those.

Pardon my ignorance, but are those chainstays supposed to flex? Or how is it that the rear triangle moves through the travel? I love the bike, just curious about that.

To me, the geometry makes it seem as if the bike was already a few inches into its travel. Compressed if you will. (I know the shock is not compressed, its just the bike looks like if it where). Might be just me though.

Yeah, its actually the non drive side. And its the Hollowtech LX ones. The arms that tighten with bolts around the axle, as opposed to the old system LX. 175mm. Do you have a left sided one? If so, how much?

Hey Hummeroid! Awesome finished product. I´m still a good 2 pounds from the 35lbs mark. But hopefullly will get there soon. I destroyed the pedal insert on my LX cranks. I think it was my mistake for not tightening the plataforms properly for the downhill course. Anyway, my LBS offered me 175mm SLX 3 ring crankset fo 192USD. Great deal right? I could´t say no to that offer, so I went ahead and bought them. I´ll try to find a spare arm for the LX and keep it as a spare.

Awesome name. Even better if its after the Iron Maiden song. And its so funny how it looks as if they´re looking at each other. Like "Oh f*ck, another dog´s gonna be around."

Don´t know why, but Domain´s always make bikes look so low end in my opinion. It would look cool with a Fox 36 though.

I feel your pain man. Been through it. Don't worry, in some time you'll look back on it and write about it here on pink bike. About how it took some time to get your warrantied rear triangle, and was a bummer, but you made it through and are riding again.

Good luck.

I totally agree. But for some reason, I would love a 180mm version of this fork, in the exact same color. Best color ever for a fox fork.

Awesome. I race downhill with my AM rig too. Check it out on my profile. By the way, if and when I update my rig/frame, I'm definetly gonna get one of those Reigh Xs with one of those Crank Brothers remote drop seat posts.

I didn't do shit, thats the worst part. It broke on a trail ride. I was really disapointed. Anyway, its been through a lot since that. It won 4th place on the last event of the National Downhill Cup down here in Mexico. And I broke it again, this time where the top tube meets the seat tube. Anyway, had it warrantied again, and I've been enjoying it plenty since. I've been thinking about having the Float "Pushed" though. How is yours holding up?
